I’m an independent researcher and engineer with roughly twenty years of experience working across mechanical, electrical, physical, and software systems.

My approach has consistently been systems-first: understand the structure of a problem, identify its boundaries and interfaces, find the constraints that actually govern its behavior, and then learn the domain-specific details needed to work effectively inside it. That approach has allowed me to move between very different technical fields and develop advanced practical knowledge without treating each one as an isolated discipline.

Over time, that same way of working has led from engineering and troubleshooting into more explicit questions about measurement, causation, control, and system boundaries. My current independent research grows directly from that trajectory.
